Shoot 4 - Evidencing objects from Stand Football club

Stand Athletic Football Club is a derelict and

Abandoned building in Rossendale which closed in 2004. The site covers a 4.8 acre area. I took this bucket from the Interior of Stand Football Club, as i wanted to evidence something from the derelict building.I photographed these objects in the studio on the product table using model lighting. I used two lights either side of the objects the highlight them evenly. I wanted to create a series of photographs that capture every aspect of the object. Therefore this is why i used a selection of composition ideas for example photographing using a macro lens to capture that detail within the bucket and then i focussed on a rule of thirds composition placing the object (police tape) in the central third as a focus point for the viewer. I believe both composition ideas created a powerful impact but i feel the photographs with the macro 50mm lens that i used acheived more detailed and conversational and aesthetically pleasing photographs. When photographing within the studio i experimented with the aperture between f/11 and f/16 to ensure not too much light was let into the shot, as there was bright model lights highlight the objects. I then experimented with a shutted speed of between 1/60 - 1/125 to ensure the camera wasnt exposed to the light for too long ensuring the photograph didnt come out too over exposed or under exposed.

All selections and edits can be seen in the selection and editing post.
