Shoot 5 - Llandudno Abandoned House

This is a derelict and Abandoned house in Llandudo. The house a two-storey building that half is situated on the beach with steps leading up to the main road. The interior of the building was unaccessible and i was only able to photograph from the exterior. The house was hard to get to which makes me question how long it was derelict for as the rocks infront of the house were extremely high and hard to climb, so this makes me question whether the house access was from the road or whether it had been abandoned and unused for a while.

When photographing the exterior shot of the building i used off camera lighting as the there was no natural light available at it was quite dark and surrounded by mountains which blocked any possible light. I photographed on a tripod with the settings of an aperture of f/1.4 with a shutter speed of 1/5 to ensure i could let any light into the shot for as long as possible.

I have shown in the selection and editing post the settings experimenting i conducted to achieve the shots i desired. As prior to photographing i wanted to adopt the composition of Bullseye when photographing the centre of the metal wire and the no entry sign, as i believe this is the area that the viewers eye will go to first and i believe this makes the photograph very direct and to the point.
